"Compared to the sober packaging of Le Redini, the 2010 Cavalli boasts a few design touches that evoke the catwalk feel of father Cavalli. Even the inside of the bottle reveals some of the Rococo aesthetic of the famous fashion designer. This is an extremely opulent, thickly concentrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that peels back layer after thick layer. Sun-ripened berry, blackberry preserves, spice, cardamom, rum cake, leather and moist chewing tobacco all vie for your attention. Although it’s definitely on the ripe side, the great quality of fruit in 2010 shapes a soft, long-lasting feel in the mouth. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020."
